His involvement with the WordPress Community has included co-organising local Meetups and related events, as well as volunteering and speaking at WordCamps. How do you run a website when your business is to run a business, not a website? Getting a website – and maintaining it as part of an actionable marketing strategy – still poses a challenge for many small business owners: too complex, too expensive, too time-consuming. According to Google, 60% of small businesses globally don’t yet have a website. This talk explores an idea, an experiment, a rudimentary proof of concept, and a dream: To really and truly simplify the process of keeping a website up to date down to the every-day digital stack of an every-day person. That is: to really and truly democratise publishing on the open web.
